We are once again teaming up with the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation to join festival village.

Torch Lighting Ceremony, Live Music, Food Trucks, Fireworks + More!

The coveted Illuminations of Life Ceremony hosted by the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation, returns to the Rhode Island State House this October. This inspiring event remembers those lost to cancer, honors those who have fought and survived, and pays tribute to the metavivors who continue to fight. This special-edition ceremony features performances by The State Ballet of Rhode Island, storytelling, 150-person torch ceremony and the lighting of the state house in pink. The torch ceremony will be held on the steps of the Rhode Island State House.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the family-friendly celebration moves to Station Park for live music, dancing and food trucks. The evening's grande finale will feature our iconic fireworks display (produced by Pyrotecnico) from the state house roof.
