In Hawaii, Lolo” means “crazy…a name born to all those who thought bringing authentic Hawaiian Shave Ice to the Central Valley was, well, crazy. But we fell in love with shave ice while visiting friends in Hawaii and decided if anywhere needed authentic shave ice, it’s the Fresno and Clovis area!
Unlike snow cones that use cubed crunchy crushed ice, shave ice uses a solid block of ice that we shave for an unbelievably “fluffy” feel on the tongue. For those who have tried Lolo shave ice, nothing else seems to satisfy. For those who have not, you’re in for a treat – guaranteed!
Our syrups are from Hawaii and we blend them here in Fresno using pure cane sugar. We are truly proud of our flavors and only make those that pass our very stringent taste test: First, we pour some on our ice and if it doesn’t taste like it supposed to, we don’t serve it. Pretty stringent, huh?
